Creating Business Partners easily and quickly

When automating processes, people often think of volume transactions. However, there are also processes for which the volumes to be processed are low, but despite that take a lot of time to process manually. An example is the creation of a Business Partner in S/4 HANA. This transaction requires additional handling compared to the old customer and vendor transaction in SAP ECC. In practice, we have seen that this process can even consist of 12 steps, where creating one took up to 15-20 minutes. With Automate Studio, all these steps are not only automated but also standardised, saving time and improving data quality.

During this session, we will take you through how you, using Automate Studio Transaction, can record the BP transaction and thereby simplify and automate this process. This will allow you to remove any frustration about the many manual actions within your organisation and thus achieve great efficiency and quality gains!

Maximising time savings by using one script

Making one script for each article type, for instance, seems an ideal solution to avoid making scripts too complicated. However, this will lead to the creation of all kinds of templates or all kinds of separate log columns in your organisation, making it difficult to see the wood for the trees. Ideally, a user should have 1 template that he can use regardless of article type and should look at 1 column to see whether everything has run successfully. But how do you achieve this without a hugely complex script, taking into account the different views per item type?

During this session, we will take you through how you can combine different scripts into 1 script in an accessible way. We will do this with conditions, for example, to arrive at 1 overarching script. This eliminates all kinds of templates, makes it clearer for a user and makes the script easier to maintain for a developer.

Do more with the Automate Function Module

Many of you will have come across it only occasionally: the Automate Function Module. This module is installed in your SAP environments to optimise the operation of Automate Studio. What people often don’t know is that you can do much more with this function module. For example, there are functions built in for easily adding/reading long texts, adding attachments, classifications and many more things that you can apply via the Direct module. The so-called WINSHTLQ functions. This allows you to get even more out of the solution!

During this session, we will show you what features are available and how you can apply them.

Automate Fiori transactions!

With the latest release of Precisely Automate, the long-awaited arrival of Fiori recording is here.
As of release 24.1, Automate Studio offers the ability to create recordings for Fiori and GUI for HTML. This provides the solution for organisations that have moved away from or want to move away from GUI. Beyond that, there are some components within S/4 HANA that are only available in Fiori. This also opens up the possibilities for the SAP Public Cloud, where only Fiori is available to users.

During this session, we will take you through how Fiori recording works.

Is your data of the right quality?

Transformations in the world follow each other in rapid succession. Demographic changes, changes in economic power, climate change, technological changes, new trends, and many more. All these transformations have an impact on the business management of organisations. Data plays a crucial role in making decisions. When we think of decision making, we quickly think of Business Intelligence. Reporting and perhaps even forecasting.
But can we trust the results of the reports? Is the data of the right quality? We often see that departmental managers and controllers are busy using large Excel files to perform checks on the data or, at worst, we see Business Intelligence initiatives stalling because the data quality is not good. Do you actually measure how good the data quality is?

In this session, we will look at providing insights from data and how to start reporting on data quality.
